Aside from a handful of interesting photos taken with the Kodak Instamatic and Disc cameras I had as a kid, my true love of photography began when I bought my first digital SLR and began shooting seriously in 2005. I was hooked from the very first of the 5,000 or so shutter actuations on my 20D shooting Christo’s “The Gates” with Ian Carney in February of that year. The many thousands of macro shots taken that spring, often upside down from underneath bushes, led to my love of getting out into the natural world and photographing wildlife. My buddy Agile Jones landed me a job shooting Real Estate photography in 2007 and, as a result, I was privileged to shoot many properties for Jack Resnick and sons real estate management company as well as three dozen photographs for the feature article and cover of the Summer 2010 issue of Office Buildings magazine.
Leaving NYC to travel the world and perform with Lightwire Theater in August of 2009 I began photographing our strange electro-luminescently illuminated creatures and fellow performers in and out of costume. After nearly 8 years on the road I left a life of touring for New Orleans where I started a headshot, wedding, event and real estate photography business. Recently my wife Elizabeth and I have come home to New York where I continue to hone my craft and enjoy working with folks from all walks of life.
